and it had been awhile since I was last here...
We all both ordered sandwiches; you have a choice of half or full portion.

The collection of monkey pod trays was really cool. I see these trays in thrift stores all the time and pretty much ever Filipino household had at least a few of these lying around in the 70's. Well, now that kind of decor is back it seems.

TC noticed the vintage egg beater decor on the rope. Interesting.

Bert's Meatloaf sandwich:

My Roast beef...Bert and I traded halves with each other. I wanted him to try the meatloaf since I liked it so much the first time. Both sandwiches were very meaty and substantial.

TC had a half portion of the tuna sandwich which she enjoyed. All of our sandwiches were excellent.

Since we were here...I also got a few desserts. Just a few, ha ha.

A canele - This was so much better than the rubbery and burnt version at Paris Baguette.

Dark chocolate chip chocolate cookie and mixed nut cookie. Of the two, I liked the nut cookie the best because it was thin and crisp with a light toasted flavor.

Rustic apple tart for TC (to be eaten later that evening). The crumble topping and crust was pretty good!

Their painted floor:

And my manky feet.
*That's a Harry Potter "Goblet of Fire" reference, but in this scene, it refers to a 'boot'.
"That's not just any manky old boot!"

Coffee again was in order before heading home. Pasadena has a lot of great coffee shops, both old school and hipster. This was going to a revisit to their newest hipster coffee joint...
