On my way back to pick her up, I took the long way (no freeways involved) back and decided to go through National City.

I remembered this liquor store from last year after stopping on a whim with TC...
This time, I took photos of the FRONT. I didn't last time because for whatever reason, I was self conscious. Now, I don't care at all, ha ha. So, this is entrance or the north side. The artist is Gloria Muriel (aka 'Glow'), whom I've written about and featured her murals in past posts.

This was the east wall...These murals are not by Glow. I remember seeing similar artwork in Barrio Logan and also Carlsbad. I'll have to double check who the artists are next time because I can't quite make out the signature (el rontero? that doesn't make sense).

These two figures look like Glow's work, but the sun face with moustache does not.

It's pretty cool to see art like this beautifying a liquor store wall.

I love the penguin graphic.

More of the big eyed nymphs.

Previous visit to the One-Ten Liquor Store:
"Glow mural @ the One-Ten Liquor Store next to the Palm Reader" March 2016
The liquor store is just a few steps away from the famous Palm Reader landmark that you can see while on the I-5. Although I did not set foot in the liquor store, I did enjoy taking photos of the mural. There were clouds that morning and the overcast skies made for nice and even lighting.
