Return to Lavender & Honey Espresso Bar

This is also another "return visit" post...

We passed by Lavender & Honey on our way to Seed Bakery...

It was such a cute place with good drinks...

and we were glad that TC was with us...

Their toast went up by $1 (it was formerly $3 last month); their espresso based drink prices also went up. Inflation rears its ugly head I suppose.

Our drinks:

My cold brew tonic made with  Nostrum's blood orange, vanilla bean and ginger cocktail shrub. Now this was quite different.  There was a bit of a sour but bitter component with this drink (from the shrub) but the ginger flavor wasn't so strong like the Dark & Stormy drink we had from G & B in L.A.; that was basically a coffee mule. I thought this was more refreshing.

Enjoyed last time and again today.  I believe this is now my new favorite drink, the espresso con panna.

TC was intrigued by the birthday cake hot chocolate - looks like a regular hot chocolate to me, but she said it tasted super sweet. Like overly sweet I don't want to drink it anymore. :(

Bert couldn't resist the lure of their salted caramel mocha (with almond milk) - This was quite smooth and had a rich flavor.

The price for my espresso con panna stayed the same. The lattes went up by fifty cents and I believe the tonic as well.  Wow, what a difference one month makes.

More on the "birthday cake" flavor in a future post.  I'll show you a place we revisited in SF that executes this flavor for their lattes.

Now that we were sufficiently caffeinated, it was time to finally make our way to the Huntington. Free passes, yo'!
