Bert and TC hadn't tried breakfast here yet...
So it was as good a time as any. Plus, we were early, hence no line.

Dano window paintings. He will never be out of a job.

Our breakfasts - Vegetarian omelet combo for TC, Aunt Jennie's Pancakes combo for Bert and for me, the return of the Chicken Fried Steak combo. I first had it here two years ago then switched it up with pancakes last year.

I haven't had CFS in awhile. I asked for my hash browns to be extra crisp but they sort of weren't. At least they weren't soggy. I'm a simple breakfast person. Meat, eggs, potatoes and/or toast. That is all.

Bert liked his pancakes. The texture is springy with a nice chew. The pork links were juicy too. TC didn't like the biscuit - it was flat and kind of dry. Her omelet was pretty good (loaded too). Service was super nice here as it has been all the times I've been here. It was pretty crowded when we left.
In the same strip mall was Heavenly Donuts. I hadn't been here in two years. We ended up getting two donuts - a chocolate old fashioned for him, and a cronut for me (up by .20 from two years ago; now $1.90).

I was tempted to get the orange glazed but stuck to just the cronut which was nice and flaky.

I still have a few more bday coupons that expire in May but I'm not sure if I'll get around to them. My weekends in May are booked with other activities. This month was fun, spending time and great meals with family and friends. Looking forward to 2019, which will be a milestone birthday for me.
