Beach 'n Boba Cafe Fail...Plan B - Return to Eggette's

We found out while trolling that four lettered site that many places close by either 9 or 10 pm in the Sunset district. My cousin wanted us to try this place called Beach 'n Boba Cafe, which was on Taraval.

I remembered seeing it while on the streetcar.  My cousin and my niece (her oldest who is in college) really like this place and wanted to take us there...

It was already 9:00 pm and the place was packed. We put our name down on the waiting list. There were a lot of young Asian kids there. According to TC, one big table was "hogged" by a young couple. There were a few others like us waiting outside. After ten minutes, which is my threshold for waiting, we decided to bail  and head up the neighborhood to revisit another snack joint.

...which was Eggette's. We hadn't been back since our first visit three years ago and it was still open until 10 pm. This time, they had the melon flavor (they had coconut in 2011).

We got one of each flavor, chocolate, regular and the melon plus assorted drinks compliments of my lovely cousin who also shares the same birthday as TC. My cousin and I are the same age; she looks like she could be her daughter's sister as she is quite young looking and still fabulous.

Of the three flavors, I liked the chocolate the best. The melon egg waffle had a faint melon flavor. Anything that shade of green reminds me of pandan, which is a flavor I don't really like. TC of course, enjoyed the melon as she is obsessed with fruity snacks and drinks.

I like the branding )and understood it). Both places look like someplace where I'd stop for a snack...early in the day...

I was bummed that the boba snack place was too busy. I wanted something savory that night. We we re happy, though, to return to the egg waffle place.
