as we headed up the 101 to our eventual destination of good ole SF...
passing by the Batmobile (as seen above), seeing the famous fog roll in the cities below the City itself...

(photo from my "Bite this" post from July 2011 during our Summer Road Trip)
I saw on the Waymarking site that a reader had recently visited the building at night on August 21

My BAD. Our drive by photo of the It's It building is located slightly north of the ACTUAL building with the giant ice cream sandwich on top, which is cut off on our photo. I feel like a total ignoramus, ha ha. So, I'm assuming the larger than life treat is standing guard on it's normal corner. Whew!
Below, more fog rolling in South San Francisco...

Our exit to the 280...

which would bring us to Sloat Blvd., near our hotel. We passed by a few places we would later visit for breakfast like this place...

and another down near the light (another breakfast cafe).

Our hotel was just a block away (no, not the Roberts one, which looked a bit on the seedy side) and it was quite convenient being near a trolley line and walking distance to the beach, which was only two blocks away...
We barely got settled in to keep our luggage and the urge to explore took over....
