Dessert would be decided by the girls, lunch by me (and agreed upon by the teens)....
This was in the midst of the heat wave we were having that early October. We wanted to be INSIDE a place that had A/C. Fudd's fit the bill, plus there was free 3 hour parking in the adjacent lot. This was the same parking lot where my friends and I would sometimes hang out in high school. We would sit there and just shoot the you know what. This was when there used to be a UA Glasshouse 6 movie theatre. Many of the local South Bay kids would go here to watch movies or hang out in the nearby park.

My online coupoln for Fudd's was good for up to 6 people (which is nice if you have a large family) - the deal was this - A 1/3 lb. burger with fries and a drink for $7. Not bad eh....
The burger fixings bar was nice and fresh and unspoiled. We were there pretty early, around 11:30 am, right before the lunch rush.

Our favorite booth, the Beatles booth was taken, so the girls chose to sit in the bigger room in the back where it was empty. You will notice the fries are wedge cut and skin on. It was a generous serving. We got our cheese from the pump dispensers.

My burger before its decimation...

The burgers at Fudd's are always awesome. Just plain and simple and good and that's all you need really.
Dessert was a choice of three places (all with buy one get one free deals), Nuyo, Baskin Robbins or Tutti Frutti yogurt. The girls chose Nuyo which made better sense since we would be near the Eastlake area. I had a few errands to do at the Otay Ranch Town Centre anyways. The girls weren't feeling it for the ice cream. As usual, the girls got the more interesting flavors and toppings.

As for me, the same old chocolate and vanilla froyo with mini chocolate chips and chopped almonds. I always like a bit of a crunch and texture.

Later that evening, Bert and I went to Dolphin's for a friend's 40th birthday party. Here was the sunset right after 7 pm'ish...

This was just a portion of the "black and white" themed candy bar which included Oreos cookies and creme Hershey bars, licorice and other assorted black and white candies and snack cakes.

The food was buffet style. Tortilla chips, some sort of ground beef mixture, pasta, salad, egg rolls and a creamy artichoke dip. The music was "old school" and there was a fun trivia game where selected guests had to asnwer questions about the celebrant's favorites, like his favorite beer, movies, restaurants, etc. Winners got the actual "answers", like a 6 pack of beer or dvd's, or gift cards. Score for the winners!

It was a bit of a long day but I'm glad that TC was able to spend a few days with one of her best friends.

As I write this, Fall Break is a thing of the past and I find myself longing for the weeklong Thanksgiving break. Turkey Day can't come soon enough!

Maybe your Fuddrucker's is better than our in MM because it never tastes great to me. Or maybe I'm just really picky. hahah
That's a cool idea for the giveaway at the party! The winner gets the item that they guessed! I really like that idea.
Maybe it's better in CV or maybe I have low standards, ha ha. But really, I like their basic burger. That and Boll Weevil's. Non-hipster burgers are the best.
I thought my friend's wife did a great job in compiling the questions and coming up with clever but literal gifts for the winners.
