It's always a blast going out with them because they are pretty willing to try anything new. In this case, Lebanese food in the College Area...
I'd already been here the week before with MFH. This visit was another excuse to go again so forgive me if the next few pictures are basically a repeat of what we had last week. Those dishes are so good that I had to order them again! We had our starters of baba ghanouj with garlic paste, pita bread and pickled vegetables...

The Lam Bajeen which we ordered non-spicy. One of these days I'll have to try the spicy version. Everyone loved this like I knew they would.

The Chicken Tawouk - I just want to spread that garlic paste over the whole thing! Overkill? I think not!

This was something new for me (along with everyone else), the Spinach and Cheese flatbread which we all enjoyed. Out of the three, everyone liked the chicken tawouk and the lam bajeen the best. I thought it might be nice to get something with vegetables on it.

The Alforon (oven)...

They brought out a piece of the Aaysh Essarayah with a lit candle and the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to TORC!

Every last bit was eaten!

Even though we had dessert, remember we were four and still wanted something extra sweet. So, guess where we went?
Since D was driving, I took photos from the car such as this this artwork along the fence advertising El Cajon Blvd, aka "The Boulevard".

The bus stop on El Cajon Blvd above the 15.

TORC's past birthday celebrations:
2010 - Tapas Picasso
2009 - Urban Solace and Heaven Sent Desserts
2008 - We did not go out.
2007 - Villa Capri with dessert at the now defunct Kona Pacific Cafe
The next bday in the group will be KD's in January! Up next, dessert!
