This is where we picked up some dinner before heading back to the hotel...
We wanted to give Santa Maria style bbq another chance.
Even though this wasn't a fancy steakhouse, we figured we'd give this place a try, Santa Maria BBQ Land.
The tri-tip we had at Shaw's was still a bit too dry for my tastes. That may have been because there was no "extra" sauce. You're supposed to eat this type of bbq with the meat juices as well as salsa.
For TC, we got her a regular hamburger. No bbq for her. Bert and I got the trip tip with sides of garlic bread, coleslaw, and green salad with ranch dressing. Bert and TC ended up exploring the rest of the hotel and swam in the pool while I rested my eyes.
The tri-tip was all right but not my favorite cut of meat. This is a bbq style that might also be better fresh from the grill instead of as take-out

The next day was our last in Santa Maria. We would then make our way down to L.A.
