We totally had to see it...
Nojoqui Falls is what locals called a "hidden treasure". It's also pronounced, "No-Hoe-Wee".

From there, it's about a ten minute hike to the Falls.

The trail is pretty easy. Not too strenuous. That's the way I like it. None of this hiking up a steep mountain or through rocky terrain.

I think these placards need to be replace. Mold anyone?

The short hike was worth the wait. The stream is quite thin and the noise quite relaxing. Niagara Falls it's not.

It's an 80 foot drop from the top of the moss and fern fringed rocks.

It was really peaceful out here...

Several hikers and a family were here as well enjoying the view. We all took turns taking photos with the falls in the background.

Nojoqui Falls is located about 1 1/2 miles East of the 101 near the Gaviota Pass. From Solvang we took Alisal road to the park. It's worth a quick stop.
Here's a cool video about the Falls:

What a long day! Time to head back to Santa Maria!
