Neither of my movie mates had Turkish before, nor had they been to this locale...
I really liked my previous visits with the SD Food bloggers and also with Bert and TC (I can't find the post so I must not have taken photos), so another visit was quite welcome.

This time we sat on this side, where all the desserts were.

TORC was adventurous and got a Turkish yogurt drink. It was described by the waitress as having a "sour flavor". I took a whiff of it and sorry to say, it smelled really spoiled to me, but that was how it was supposed to taste. TORC didn't seem to mind it. The other drink in the background was MFH's iced tea.

Old habits die hard. I ordered the eggplant and the antepezme. MFH ordered the dolmalar (stuffed grape leaves) which was a welcome addition...

The beautiful eggplant dip (small portion). Very creamy and flavorful...

Both dips were delicious with their thin and huge circle of lavash bread...

The dolmalar - This was a 'small' portion.

The leaves were stuffed with rice, currants, bell pepper, dill, parsley, and house spices. This could have been a meal in itself.

We also ordered the Penirli Borek, filled with spinach and feta cheese and served with yogurt. This was absolutely delicious. I normally hate feta cheese, but when it's cooked and in borek, I will eat it!

We were in a sharing mode - MFH also ordered the Adana Kabob which was ground beef seasoned with parsley, chili pepper, onions and house spices, and served over rice and a side of salad.

I ordered the Karisik Pide, which is flat bread with three different toppings (seasoned ground beef, cheese, and thicker cut beef) for variety.

It was a lot of food for us three and leftovers were definitely taken home. In fact, I enjoyed some of that antepezme the next day with scrambled eggs which ddded some kick to 'em!
It was a great way to end the evening after having watched a "brain massage" of a movie. A popcorn flick this ain't. I have so much to say about "Cosmopolis" but am waiting for the right mood to strike me before putting it out as a post. In any case, I really liked the movie and it was so cool to see how Cronenberg brought the book to life.
