We wanted to check out another bakery just across the parking lot...
Yes, a return (for me and D) to Bon Epi Patisserie. In French, "bon" means "good" and "epi" refers to an artisanal bread made at French bakeries. It is shaped like a wheat stalk and rolls can be pulled off without destroying the loaf. Ha ha, she said loaf.

It smelled so good in here!

I was all breaded out. My eyes were on these, the macarons:

We got a box of eight to sample for later...

D got a jelly roll cake while D and KD browsed around. I'm not sure if they got anything, but those macarons were beckoning me to carb hell.

So pretty! The box our eight macarons were housed in was quite pretty. That will be a future post. The flavors I chose were White Chocolate mango, Coffee, Sea Salt Caramel and Chocolate Raspberry (to name a few). They were some of the best I've ever had (besides Bouchon's).
See my previous visit to Bon Epi during last fall's epic food crawl with D.
Since we were in the area, I remembered Kirbie's recent post on a restaurant in Little Saigon and figured we would go there next!
