Seafood Friday - Week 6

A speed post this will be...

This was our "late lunch" or "early dinner" today...

I didn't forget that this was a "seafood Friday"!

We had a few sushi rolls at Wild Wasabe Japanese Bistro in the Alphabet District:

We got there a little after "Happy Hour" started which was after 3 pm! That seems a bit early, but I'm not complaining for the cheaper prices!

California roll, Shrimp tempura, and Spicy salmon. Nothing too exotic:

According to our server, they use black rice (which looks purple) as well as brown for their rolls. I think they look lovely, plus the food tastes as good as it looks. Always important.  Rolled nicely unlike the sushi we had the first night with KDB.

We also had a Fried Spicy Tuna roll:

Points for presentation and points for having their Sirius radio station tuned in to the 80's!

We heard (not in order):

Depeche Mode - Black Celebration
Go West - We Close Our Eyes
Giorgio Moroder with Philip Oakey (of Human League) - Electric Dreams
The Specials - A Message to You Rudy
Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
The Smiths - Panic in the Streets of London
The Call - The Walls Came Down
The Pretenders - Talk of the Town (one of my favorite songs ever!)
The Police - I Can't Stand Losing You (although this doesn't really qualify as an 80's song because it came from their first album, "Outlandos d'Amour" which was released in 1979! Fail!)
plus more that escape my aural memory...

We told our server that we liked the music and she said they've had the Sirius station fixed to the 80's for a couple of weeks. I think she wasn't even BORN in the 80's! But she was so cute and enthusiastic about the music!
