Return of the Irving, Texas Posts - Pho Legacy

It's been about a year and a half since I last posted Bert's visit to Irving Texas...

I thought I was done but I never did his last day and the places he visited, so here it is....way later...

Bert was on his way to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Irving. He saw this strip mall on the side of the road and thought it would be a good spot to have lunch.

He noticed a pho place...

This strip mall consisted of all Vietnamese businesses.

He had the Pho with Brisket...

They sat him in a corner and while he was there, the lunch crowds began to disperse. Predominantly Vietnamese folks there with one table of Caucasians.

The herb plate for the pho:

But first, an order of spring rolls with pork and shrimp which he enjoyed...

He was in the mood for pho so that is what he had.

The meat was okay - in his words, "not overly exciting", but still pretty tender. He didn't think the broth was that flavorful compared to the pho he's had in San Diego.

Bert's Cafe Sua Da...

This was the Asian supermarket in that strip mall. He didn't have a chance to check it out but it looked pretty large. I would have wanted to see that myself.

So with lunch down the hatch, Bert went on his merry way to seek out the legendary Cowboys stadium. While driving, he saw this fountain at a nearby park...

Up next, Bert's visit to the stadium...and more!
