We went to this place highly recommended by Wandering Chopsticks. The owners make different types of soups each day.
Once it's gone, it's gone! So we made sure to come early!
After our Vietnamese breakfast, we headed over to...

After the matinee, we got a few pastries at a nearby Vietnamese bakery...
That's raspberry underneath the chocolate and almond topped shell...I want another!
We continued our exploration of this neighborhood by going to a famous park...

Of course, we had to check out ANOTHER food cart pod (also recommended by WC and KD's brother, heretofore now known as KDB)!

Bert's been carrying our "vintage" mini Tick action figure, circa 1995 and taking photos of him at our various stops. I remember buying this figurine (and the other heroes and villains) on clearance from KB toys back in '95. They now adorn one of my bookshelves.
Gawd, we are such geekoid/nerdorama wierdos! Ha ha!
That's it for now...more fun tomorrow! We are headed to the Coast!

unfortunately, not. It's more than 4 hours away! Same with Forks, WA!
Looks like a great trip so far! We had planned to see "The Hunger Games" this Thursday (IMAX) but it doesn't look promising. I'll have to settle on Real 3D.
