Portland bound!

After we landed, the first place we went was here...
"Kiss My Grits!"
Afterwards, we went down the street for some donuts...
Not Voodoo.
We also crossed a state line...
"For Those About to Rock...We Salute You!" (that's an AC/DC reference from their 1981 follow up to "Back in Black" because the album cover features some cannons)
While in town, we stopped here for some sugary drinks and meat in tube form...
It was like the cast from AMC's "Comic Book Men" in there but in an eatery instead of a comic book shop.
Continuing north on the 5, we made a Twi-stop at this small town's high school:
"Where's Edward's shiny silver volvo?"
Across the water was this impressive sight:
The World's Tallest Totem Pole (carved from a single log; the tallest one of the four that is)
Dinner was with KD's brother at a Japanese sushi place in his 'hood in the SE quadrant of PDX.

The weather looks pretty nice so far!
It was really nice today on the coast, but the rest of the week is expected to be gray with rain on and off....:( but oh well!
Holy twi-bat crap, I actually recognize that school from the movie.
