D's Birthday Crawl - The Trifecta: Cream Pan, THH + Kolache Factory

Last weekend we celebrated D's birthday with...

what else? A food crawl!  As is our MO for these trips, Cream Pan was our first stop...

The line was long but moved quickly...

TORC got one of the pre-packaged containers for their famous strawberry croissants. Although the sign said there was another line, there wasn't. There was just a separate cooler to pick them up; so she still had to jump back in line with us.

(TORC is an "Outlander" fan, hence her Clan Fraser shirt...HMMM, I might have to start watching that show!)

Over the years, i've tried almost everything here (mainly the French pastries):

We ate on the north patio where we noticed that it now had a new orange awning...

which explains the annoying hue in these photos:

Our breakfast - Strawberry croissant, strawberry banana pastry, ham and cheese, almond croissand and salmon onigiri plus a roll with ham and egg.  KD ended up buying an extra salmon onigiri for her daughter. I'm glad that my friends enjoyed the savory bites.

They also NEEDED to go to THH since they've never had Pate Chaud before..

There was a line in here as well, but like at Cream Pan, moved pretty quickly. Lots of folks were there to pick up large phoned in orders...They were out of the chicken pate chaud (which is square shaped) so PORK only it was!!! This was TORC's bag that she bought for her family.

I had a kick seeing KD and TORC buying "food souvenirs"!

Of course,  we couldn't leave Tustin without taking a few steps down from THH for the Kolache Factory...

Yeah, I know we already ate at Cream Pan and had a couple of pate chaud, but we had to try at least ONE THING here...

It turned out to be the Polish mild...

A bit too bready for my tastes but man, was that sausage pretty good!

Previous visit to Cream Pan:
June 2017 on our way to the Broad Museum (which I still haven't posted yet)

Previous visit to THH:
March 20176 during our mini trip in February

Previous visit to Kolache Factory:

No more messing around now...it was time to get serious and brave the traffic to DTLA!
