Green Apple Books & Music

Right across the street from Toy Boat Dessert Cafe was an eye catching mural featuring books...

The green awning said it all..

so of course, we had to take a quick peek...

Whenever we travel, we love browsing through local bookstore, especially if they were mom and pop stores such as this one.

We each went our separate ways to look around. There was so much to see.

I liked that there was a shelf that held the "Staff's Favorites".

This was the type of place that I could spend hours in just looking aroun.

What I ended up with:

The lady ringing me up said she really enjoyed the John Waters' book (you may know him as the director of "Crybaby", and "Hairspray"; but he rose to notoriety with his series of "trashy" films featuring his friend and drag queen, Divine).

TC thought this was pretty funny. The cat is doing the British equivalent of the middle finger (the peace sign with palm facing inward).

These San Francisco neighborhood signs were really cool as well...

I liked the article that mentioned how Robin Williams used to shop at this store...

I didn't post on it, but we also visited Genki Crepes and Mini Mart (which was closer to King's Thai #2); we bought TC's favorite bag of multicolored and flavored Japanese rice crackers.  Just one item. No photos inside since it was just a quick stop...
