which were a gift from my friend Caren, co-owner of the Velveteria in L.A....
We had a free weekend in March (it turned out to be a very busy month). On our way to Pasadena, we made our normal pitstops in Tustin. Starbucks for Bert's coffee...

Did you know that during Christmas time, there are RAD window paintings where the bull for El Toro Bravo is dressed up as Santa Claus? I love it. Now it is all plain and boring.

The cigar shop is now gone and Poke Town has replaced it. You can even see where the old letters used to be. Poke is everywhere now.

Our second stop was here...

THH for pate chaud for us and spring rolls for TC. She usually sleeps on the way up but wakes up for this.

It's hard to see but you can kind of see some snow on the mountains...

At least it was sunny and clear instead of rainy and windswept when Bert and I went last month.
Below, the MillerCoors Brewing Facility in Irwindale. Formerly based in Pasadena, Irwindale will now be the city to house the Phoenix Decorating Company which makes floats for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.

Cathy and her Mister will soon be exploring the city of Irwindale once road float tests go underway towards the end of Spring.
We hadn't had a proper breakfast yet (pate chaud was just a breakfast appetizer, ha ha) so we had plans to revisit a spot we tried a few weeks ago...
