we crossed the street to this new dessert shop...
My cousin and her daughter hadn't been here yet. There is a similar concept called Honeymee in Irvine but this was the first location in the United States. Honey Creme is a South Korean business specializing in premium soft serve using fresh organic milk. This is so ironic since aren't many Asians lactose intolerant?

Even though Bert and I aren't "friends" with milk anymore, we would bite the bullet today since we were on vacation dammit.

Soooo many choices...
There were only about two workers during our visit. Visitors were sporadic. Maybe they are busier at night? There are no table inside either but a long bench by the window where we all hung out and enjoyed our treats.

Everything looks so much better under a glass dome! These were honey combs....

I thought this multicolored ice cream cone display was really cool...

My Affogato, premium ice cream with espresso. Yes, this was pretty $%#@ good, lactose be damned!

My niece's Avocado shake with boba:

TC's ice cream cone topped with organic cotton candy:

My cousin's Milk Tea Honey Cup:

Bert's Dark Chocolate Cup:

I'll tell you this much, EVERYTHING was pretty good. The ice cream was super creamy and since we stayed inside where there was AC, our desserts didn't melt as fast. I'm glad the workers were pretty chill since we stayed there for quite a bit, taking up that bench.
Parting ways, we headed back to our cars...

and headed back down near our motel...

Our dinner location would be next door to this now closed market on the outer edges of Taraval Street. In fact, this market will become the next location of Outerlands.

This bar, the Riptide is still around.

We would later meet up with my cousin again, but this time with her husband and their other daughter. One was currently babysitting their nephews and were "taking turns". More on this later...
