Lunch at Kanpai & drinks at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

During Spring Break, TC and I went to one of our favorite places...

located at the corner of Third and Palomar in west Chula Vista, good ole Kanpai...

We were the first customers of the day and the older Japanese ladies seemed to be really delighted with TC's hair, which was streaked turquoise...

TC's standby, the Crunch Roll and tempura shrimp roll. Since it was a hot day, I got something light, the Zaru soba. All items were shared between us.



We also made a trip to the outlets in San Ysidro. TC had a few giftcards to use up...This was also the day I bought some Vans.

We hadn't been here in months and discovered that there was a whole new side of the mall on the eastern side, past the Nike Outlet. As mentioned earlier, it was a super hot day and some cold drinks were in order.

We loved the guy that worked here, who was very FAB-U-LOUS if you know what I mean. He was so sassy! We'd never been in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before. There used to be one in Eastlake Village but it didn't last too long.  We both got blended drinks. Mine was mocha while TC's was vanilla.





I wouldn't mind coming here again for their other drinks! I hope the sassy guy is there though!
