Captain Kirk's Coffee

We'd passed by this little kiosk on our way to Eclipse and back to the taco truck...

I never noticed this place before but I couldn't help but laugh at it's name...

I wonder if Captain Kirk's is affiliated with that pirate ship coffee kiosk in OB?

Ahoy there mateys!

It kind of bugs me that their signs are not grammatically correct. The one above was missing the "apostrophe" after the second K. It's also missing on the wooden letters at the top of the kiosk.

While chatting with the gal at the counter, it turns out they've been here since mid last year.

The girl working the counter was really nice. The other gal was busing cleaning up the open side. This is also a coffee drive through.

They serve smoothies, pastries, and acai bowls (for the life of me, I can't bring myself to try one, as healthy as they may be) as well as hot coffee. I wanted something iced. I didn't have my own beverage earlier at Eclipse.

Bert enjoyed their framed photos of Star Trek characters enjoying coffee which were interspersed with photos of their smoothies, coffee, and fruit bowls. The owner, according to the gal, is a big Star Trek fan, hence the photos and duh, the NAME of this coffee stand.

Behold - my iced mocha made with almond milk (this is a first for me). No whipped cream.

Lots of shaded seating along the sidewalk...

My drink was pretty good considering it was a departure from having regular milk in it. I normally drink my protein powder with unsweetened almond milk in the morning. Less calories and dairy free it is. Bert wasn't too keen on this version though.

We briefly admired our three mini bars that Bert brought back earlier. Each baggie had three bars. We still haven't sampled them. Trying to recover from sugar overload from yesterday.

There were several groomed garden beds along the sidewalk. And yes, you can still that there are no lines in the parking lot, yet people parked diagonally rather than straight.

I noticed the bed above had a few prehistoric friends...

So quirky! Loved it. Glad that it's left alone. If this was down south, it would be stolen within ten seconds.

We still wanted to kill a bit of time before they did the big raffle prize drawing at 3 pm.
