Thai Orchid

We had such a long day beginning from our early morning commute to  Gaston and experiencing cold rain while ziplining through the trees, having purple rice sushi and visiting one of the most bizarre non-tourist spots ever...

Not wanting to have our spaghetti leftovers from a few nights ago, TC suggested Thai at a nearby spot...

where both she and Bert trekked out to pick up two different noodle dishes. I don't remember the name of this one, but it had the thick wide rice noodles with beef. This turned out to be more flavorful than the next dish which was...

this rather anemic looking pad thai with shrimp. The sauce was practically non-existent. These were the worst pad thai noodles we'd ever had.

I won't even post the address because this wasn't really that great, but if you must know, it's in the Alphabet District/Nob Hill.

The evening was spent relaxing and watching some of the dvd's we'd brought with us to Portland. I don't remember which one we watched but it was probably one of the "Lord of the Rings" movies...

Ah yes, nothing beats family time like watching the bloodthirsty ORCS slaughtering the men of Rohan and Gollum crooning "My Precious....."

Day 7 can be read in this order:

Tree to Tree Adventure Park
Wild Wsasbae
Return to the FreakybutTrue Peculiarium
Return to St. Honore Boulangerie
and of course, this post right here.

Tomorrow, we would return to another place we'd tried earlier in the week where everyday, the noodle specials are different...
