Just a few cool things we saw while in OB...

like this mural near a hair salon....


and this mural on the side of a bank building at the east end of Newport Ave.

Before we left OB, I picked up this loaded chocolate chip caramel brownie at Azucar for Bert...

which he saved for a little later. We were planning to get coffee and other desserts in nearby Point Loma.

The historic Strand movie theater (which made an appearance in "Almost Famous") is now a souvenir shop.

We stopped in several thrift stores while here, such as Thrift Trader and this other store that sold everything for $2!

Here's the other side of the mural which has no Rick James on it, but the James Gang (a Cleveland based rock band from the 1960's).

Here's my latest experiment with hair color. Last month Cathy of Mmm-yoso gifted me with her favorite hair color mousse, Chilled Plum.  This was such a nice gift and it was easy to do. The gloves were included in the box and I only used a small amount in my hair. Apply it and leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash it out.

But, I put it on unevenly, so I'll have to fix that later. It washes out after 5 or 7 shampoos, so it's temporary.

It was time to head out to Point Loma...
