(purple Bingo number from flckr user Leo Reynolds)
It's the11th Blogaversary of Pink Candles at Ridgemont High...
If you're a big "This is Spinal Tap" fan like me, you will get the reference...

"It's one louder..."
Nigel Tufnel explaining his amp set up to rock documentarian Marti de Bergi...
Movie fans may recognize Christopher Guest who also played Count Rugin in "The Princess Bride" (also directed by Rob Reiner, or "Meathead" from the old tv show, "All in the Family"; he went on to become a very successful director).
Another fun Eleven reference...the 80's synth inspired soundtrack to last summer's breakout Netflix show, "Stranger Things"...
and in case you're living under a rock, here's more info on Eleven, the badass mysterious girl with telekinetic powers:
And one more musical reference to the number "11", one of my favorite songs by U2. "Eleven o'Clock Tick Tock" was their second single released in 1980 prior to their debut album, "Boy" (one of their best). This particular version is from U2's "Under a Blood Red Sky" live EP, released in 1983 and recorded at Red Rocks Ampitheater in Colorado. The song is also featured on their live concert film from the same venue. The video below is from that performance:
Back when U2 were still young (I had a crush on the drummer, omg)...
By the way, if you read the comments under the youtube link for this song, the guy whose girlfriend appeared onstage with Bono tells the story of how this came to be. Very cool!
I don't want to be redundant and rehash what I say every year I do a blogaversary post. A simple thank you for sticking with me for this long will have to suffice. I'm so fortunate that what is basically my online diary (featuring my food and pop culture blatherings) is still around and I treasure the friendships I have made online and in real life. Thank you.
Previous blogaversary (which links all of the other ones)

Thanks so much Faye. Eleven years is a long time to be doing anything.
Sorry to be commenting so late! I read this earlier on my phone and was going to comment later and then forgot until now. 11 years is forever in bloggers years! It's amazing how long you've kept it up. Happy 11 years and here's hoping for at least 11 more! =)
