They got a chance to see some of the sand sculptures before the judging tomorrow...
The girls enjoyed watching people gathering water and forming mounds of sand, packing in the sand in cylindrical molds and then getting everything set up.
The Sun and Sea Festival will be hosting the sand castle contest tomorrow but weather reports say that there will be thunderstorms. I hope the event isn't ruined by rain or thunderstorms. As you can see, Bert and the girls enjoyed a beautiful sunny day.
While I was having lunch at Mango Mango with some friends, Bert and the girls had a late lunch at Aroma Thai. They'd been boogie boarding and earlier, also enjoyed listening to Stefanos Alexious' band, Monday Night Traffic, who played from 12 noon to 5 pm (with a break inbetween).
Their lunch...fried calamari appetizer which was served burning hot, according to TC.
Chinese sausage fried rice...
and lastly, Pad Thai with tofu...
I would have liked having that lunch too!

Bert was kind enough to share his photos from today for the blog. I wished I was there with them but I am deep into work now. School starts next week and we are gearing up for the year.

I read an article that the festival went on as planned, but I can't help wondering if the sand art got all ruined. Maybe it didn't rain as much at the beach that weekend? I love it when my food is served hot hot hot! I prefer it much more than lukewarm food.
I bet those sand sculptures got messed up. Sad. After all that work people put into them.
The food was so hot, it burned the roof of TC's friends mouth and a piece of the upper palate fell off. Gross but true.
