TC and I finally went to check out the no-longer-new fruiteria on Palm Ave...
armed with a trusty coupon which has been beaten up by being in my wallet for too long.

It's in the same strip mall as Rally's and Noodles Noodles. Like other fruiterias, this place not only offers smoothies, Mexican specialty drinks like Chamangos (and their different variations) and raspados as well as tortas and sandwiches.

We were here for the Chamangos. I got a fresa while TC chose the sandia. In retrospect, I should've chosen pineapple just to have something different since both watermelon and strawberries are red.

Fresh cut up fruit ready to be placed into fruit salads or smoothies.

Both of our drinks came out in a matter of minutes and came with tamarind candy straws. The guy helping us was really nice and accepted the coupon with no hassle or questions. For the record, the size of the drink you see is a small.

They look the same but if you look closely, you can see the differences in the chunks of fruit on top.

I'll have to try that Mangazo next time or a raspado.

TC needs to redo her nail polish. That's two weeks worth of wear and tear for you.

Both drinks were refreshing and had that sweet, sour, salty thing going on with the chamoy and tamarind candy. We'd go here again even without a coupon!
