before heading westward to the beach about half an hour away...
We took a different route than expected and came across this reservoir...
which seemed a bit eery with the marine layer floating about...
It was in full force at this cute beach side town (our destination)...
I knew we would hit this place up before leaving...
We enjoyed our stay here last year and were happy to see that the Pier was saved and was in the process of repairs...
Delicious lunch from a local farmer's market...
and a return to the local candy shop for Bert's favorite dark chocolate pb cup...
Yes, here again. It's been too long.
Literally right before we were about to head back on the highway, I saw this and we had to stop to check it out...
Later on this afternoon, Bert and I enjoyed a free wine tasting at our hotel...
This would be our last day before heading back home to San Diego tomorrow, on the 4th of July....
