as we drove from the 905 to the 5....

to have dinner at K-Pasta, one of our old faves which we hadn't revisited in a couple of years...
I don't know how to do the night setting on my camera phone. Yes, this is craptastic, I agree.

Now that TC is currently vegetarian, we have to choose places carefully. K-Pasta makes their pasta from scratch and there are about six flavors they offer daily which you can customize with different sauces and protein toppings. Their covered outdoor patio was full, so we opted to sit at the bar heigh counter. I was near the speaker which was blaring Prince's "Purple Rain" (earlier, while in line, it was Depeche Mode's "The Policy of Truth").

I must have had a shaky hand when I took this.

These racks had their fresh pastas waiting to be someone's meal...

We were only here for a pre-dinner, if that makes sense. TC had a night function with her youth group and wanted something health, so a salad it was. We all shared a pasta - spinach with garlic butter sauce, which came with a side of garlic bread and a side salad (which had a delicious honey mustard dressing). We loved the springiness of the wavy noodles. They were thicker than normal but very tasty!

This was TC's Seasonal Salad (from Suzie's Farms) which included sliced red onions, strawberries, walnuts, and (ugh) feta cheese. The dressing was fantastic, made from fresh strawberries!

TC really enjoyed this fresh salad. I'm glad she's making healthy choices.
Previous visits to K-Pasta:
June 2013 with TORC in which we had dessert
however, here is the most recent actual food post (which links the previous posts):
Mother's Day Lunch @ K-Pasta" May 2013
It was time to drop her off and afterwards, our next stop would be a fairly new eatery in the area...

That strawberry dressing is a lovely shade of pink - it sounds like it was yummy! I like how green the spinach pasta is, too. That's great TC is making the healthier choices. Is she going vegetarian for Lent or she just wanted to start?
Those spinach leaves were pretty vibrant and thick too. I would eat that salad again. She started going vegetarian at the end of January after watching a video featuring Paul McCartney talking about the evils of meat. I also think she wants to do it because a good friend of hers is trying it out for this semester. I don't know if this is a phase or a permanent thing for TC yet though.
