To make the Eastlake "trifecta" complete, having been to the two newest additions to the strip mall...

TC and I went to check out the new boba place...
Max Cup, which replaced the old Pho Vien Dong (which sucked @$$)...Good riddance to that.

With the massive heatwave we've been experiencing, I thought a few cool drinks were in order.

TC likes these kinds of drinks more than I do...

When I saw the Iced Coffee options, I got a little excited when I saw "sea salt coffee"...

The gimmick of this place is that the cups are so damn large. Everything, including the snacks (all of which are fried, ugh), are in these cups.

Little figurines on a pony wall...below that (but not pictured) was a small cubby hole with books. That was a bit random.

The walls had these stick ons flips flops and blank photos, along with "Engrish" sayings.

Now THAT didn't make any sense at all. I wonder if they used Google translate for this particular nugget of wisdom.
They had these cool looking couches shaped like lips! The tables and chairs were also interesting...

The chairs were situated at each corner of the table, which was different.

The seat is rounded, but your crotch would be right at the point area if you moved up. It was also strange having a table corner at your stomach. I liked that it wasn't crowded during our visit...makes me feel less self conscious taking photos. Like my feet in flip flops there?
Both of our drinks were $3.99 and were served in these big @$$ cups that will definitely not fit into your car's cup holders, should you even attempt to bring these home, like we did.

TC likes boba, so that is what she got in her taro milk tea.
As for my sea salt coffee, it was all right, but had a lot of ice pieces in it. I was expecting it to be nice and smooth like the kind at 85C Bakery.

Well, I had to give it a shot right? Bert finished it later at home and liked it. He didn't realize it was sea salt flavored coffee until afterwards. He thought it was caramel or mocha.
Awww, a cute giant bear in the corner, next to that grammatically incorrect phrase that makes no sense.

There's another look at their interesting looking but awkward space saving tables.

There is no website, but here is the mix bag of you know what from you know where.
I'm not really a fan of tea, milk tea, milk drinks, or boba, but we would probably go here again (next time with Bert). I'd like to try another kind of drink and maybe one of the snacks (for TC)...

Um, the menu shows shaved snow...get back there, or I will have to do some research. I'm not impressed with boba or sweet beverages either. Fried snacks make me curious though...there's always something I never had thought of being fried.
Yes, a return visit is in order! TC can be the guineau pig!
Hmm, looks interesting. I'd have a fried snack and a drink. The cups look short and fat. Why don't they want to make things that fit into cup holders? Sad times.
hi mary - i'm willing to try another kind of drink. i hate the cup sizes here. i also think they water their drinks down with too much ice since the cup size is so big.
