Citrus Grill

Our last stop of the day was at this ritzy hotel/sport club that my BIL and SIL belong to. While my SIL and I were out doing our macaron crawl, the husbands and kids were here swimming and using the sports facilities. We ended up meeting them for a late lunch around 3 pm...

The restaurant is located within the hotel...

and instead of eating inside...

we sat at their outdoor lounge.

We ended up eating around the fire pit (which wasn't lit up since it was day time).

The menu looked promising...soups and salads, sandwiches and flatbreads.

They emphasized that each entree is 485 calories or less.

Bert had a Firestone Pale Ale that he liked. He seems to enjoy the "hoppy" beers, unlike myself.

Our entrees...

My Margarita flat bread, along with Bert's Prosciutto and arugula flatbread:

I did not like this at all. I didn't think they would put so much balsamic vinegar on top. The bread was tasteless, even though it had pesto sauce on it. The mozzarella was also thick and rubbery. Not good. Bert ended up switching several pieces with me.

Bert's flatbread was slightly better but not really. His had a bit more flavor since it had the salty prosciutto, the peppery arugula as well as the savory parmesan cheese. The flatbread wasn't that great to be honest. It tasted like the dough you could get at the grocery store. My SIL and her daughter also ordered the same flatbread.

My nephew's flatbread with chicken and mushrooms. Photo only, no sample. He shared this with his dad (my BIL).

TC's burger with fries. I didn't try any, but she seemed to like it.

TC and Bert really enjoyed the facilities here. Their showers include shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, and even a little dryer to spin your swimsuit.

It was too bad that the food was so boring and bland here. I'm sure it's convenient for the folks who are staying at the hotel and don't want to venture out, but that might have been a better choice. Pretty nice ritzy place though, but meh for the food.
