This year, Bert and TC did the decorating honors...

They had fun using string and rubber bands...
The color tablets were leftover from a egg decorating kit I bought on clearance last year.

They decided to make the colors "vibrant" by using vinegar instead of just water.

I think Bert also used vegetable oil to make a marbled effect on some of the eggs...

This time, I won't throw away the metal egg dipper. Bert had to use tongs!
I thought they came out pretty nicely! They both did a great job with the decorating! And even though TC is nearly 12, she still wanted to do her traditional Easter egg hunt in the backyard. We filled the same plastic eggs we've used for ages (since she was a toddler) and filled them with coins and strategically "hid" them in our fruit trees, vegetable beds (that have weeds) and in the grass.
Unfortunately, embedding to this Bugs Bunny cartoon is "disabled", but click here for the classic line, "I wanna Easter egg! I wanna Easter egg!" !
We're off to my parents for Easter dinner...
