My birthday celebration with my family wouldn't be complete unless I had a cake by my favorite baker and local SD Foodblogger, the wonderful and talented Jenny of Jenny Wenny Cakes...
I wanted something different this year...
This year I kept it simple. I wanted flowers so Jenny suggested these gorgeous orchids. I got to select the colors.
Look at those delicate petals...
TC and the neighbor girls already took dibs on the flowers they wanted to eat!
The cake was covered with fondant with light green accents. The top tier was dark chocolate cake with salted caramel filling; the bottom tier was coconut cake with passionfruit curd filling. Our families and neighbors loved it! My sister especially enjoyed the coconut cake while my favorite was the dark chocolate with salted caramel.
This was the first time I ordered coconut from Jenny and it was superb. Both tiers had four layers, each with delicious fillings.
The coconut cake was very moist and had loads of coconut bits in it. My sister is mad for anything coconut and this was her new favorite.
Every year I look forward to my birthday cake, so a big thanks to Jenny for making my birthday a memorable occasion!

I love the cake and Jenny did a wonderful job on those orchids, love them!!! Oh I love the tropical fruit cakes from Jenny and the passionfruit filling is my favorite.
