with Bert and TC. This morning, however, it was just Bert....
TC was out camping with friends for the Labor Day weekend. This same group of friends will be parting ways in several weeks as they go off to college. It was their last time to bond and also her first time to go camping and star gazing.
It was just us two this morning and we were in Lemon Grove to have coffee (that post is next). I was curious about El Clasico Diner because this used to be Bleu Whisk where Bert and I had breakfast two years ago...

Same interior, but the old mural was still on the wall, which was a nice nod to the former/original occupants.

The ladies working here were really nice. There was one server that morning; the other lady was the cook.
Our breakfast:

Bert's chorizo omelet with beans and hash. I had the breakfast sandwich (sausage, eggs, cheese with sourdough bread) and their fried potatoes (sliced thin and fried on the griddle) which were great. Justl like the last time we were here. Bert's plate was substantial and made even more special with their housemade salsas.

I loved the crisp potato bits and that fresh sausage.

Who else went to El Clasico Diner?
Mary and Jake were here April 2018

Down the street with a great view of the giant lemon was our next stop where we would get our first caffeine fix of the day (first, ha ha)...
