New donut flavor from Star Dust

This sign almost beats the old KD's Nuts sign...

Star Dust was open this fine Saturday morning...

Gone are the days when Star Dust had the mesh sign (still with missing letters) and the complete "Fresh Donuts" sign...

Even the sign in front was refurbished.

Actual hours have been posted since 2015

but the sign used to look like this:

Donut prices have been raised as well. They range in price from $1.09 for the plainer donuts, $1.89 for certain donuts like the fritters, as well as $2.09 for the rolls and bars.

Most of the donuts used to be under a dollar...  But hey, what is that flash of pink?

It was a new flavor! Well, new as in four months new (I asked). I haven't been here since fall; Bert, even longer.  Here's our trio. Two  bars (the new Black forest and Bert's favorite German chocolate) plus my choice, the old fashioned.

The frosting was too thick and it was way too sweet for my liking. A few bites were all I could handle. The things I do for "research". As it was, Bert finished it the next day.

The man in front of us was chatting with Mr. Arnold and ended up buying the last four chocolate glazed (damnit, how rude, ha ha).  I don't think I'll be buying the Black forest again. Mr. Arnold is getting fancy. He needs to make a blueberry donut now, ha ha.
