Near Lucky Boy, our lunch destination is the original and first location of Trader Joe's....
Ah, there it was. There are two locations of Lucky Boy. This is the one on Arroyo Parkway and does not feature the drive in.
It was kind of crowded which we expected since it was prime lunch hour. Luckily, we found an available to sit at...

These were our first burgers of the year, enjoyed on the second day of 2015. This was also before TC decided to try vegetarianism (which lasted about four or five months). Bert got a pastrami burger, TC her usual cheese burger and regular burger for me.
Pastrami, yes...
Onion rings for all of us.
The char-broiled burgers were excellent for what they were...delicious and satisfying.

Hey! You were here...I think the cash register guy thinks we live nearby. Lucky Boy is a great institution with marvelous food. I really need to research the pastrami phenomenon- every burger AND taco shop up there seems to have pastrami on the menu.
Ha, you are there quite often during the road float test season. I don't see pastrami too often at burger and taco places in SD. At least the cheap ones.
