Not too far from Pooh Bahwas a fairly new bakery.

It was actually the 2nd location of Copenhagen (the original location is in Culver City).

It looks quite sleek and modern...
We wanted to pick up a few pastries as snacks and also extra for breakfast the next day.

There were so many excellent choices. Most pieces were about $2-$3 which is admittedly on the pricy side but for the quality of these pastries, were quite WORTH IT. Karen Hansen, the owner was super nice as well, pointing out her favorite recommendations.

Everything looked so good but we limited ourselves to just a few pieces.
Romkugle is a Danish rum ball.

Kranse Cake - This was a buttery and almond flavored stick of goodness.

We'll have to try this one next time...I liked how the edges were dipped in chocolate.

I'll take one of everything please...I wish.

A diamond shaped pastry filled with the lightest and sweetest cream and dotted with dark and white chocolate.

Coffee Bread, which Bert LOVED.

The Kranse Cake...which was enjoyed the next day at Intelligentsia.

The texture was firm but not crumbly. It was so buttery.
It gets better...the bottom of the cake was dipped in chocolate.

I loved the crust on the coffee bread.

The diamond pastry and their namesake Copenhagen pastry (seen below) were so incredibly light, crisp, flaky and melt in your mouth fantastic.

This was their Almond Kringle. We wanted to compare it to the Trader Joe's version and let's just say that TJ's pales in comparison. This is the real deal here.

I would get these and more again in a heartbeat.
Who else went to Copenhagen?

With a box full of Danish pastries, it was time to finally rest at our hotel room, nap a little, freshen up whatever you want to call it. Then, it was off to explore Old Town Pasadena and find a place for dinner and dessert...
