Pooh Bah Record Shop

From the peace and tranquility of Arlington Garden, we headed over to the outer reaches of E. Colorado Blvd...

where we admired the pretty flowering trees...

and noticed a few places we wanted to stop at...
passing by the lovely Pasadena City Hall...

and ending at a record store that TC wanted to check out.  It's next to a bar and a guitar store.

I liked how big it was in here. Although it wasn't as extensive as Rasputin or Amoeba in Berkeley, Poo Bah had a prettywide selection of not just vinyl but also CASSETTE TAPES!

Some of the vinyl was new ($24.99, what!) and most were used in various price ranges.

I got a few cassettes for cheap (no photo but it was Joe Satriani, "Not of this Earth", White Lion's "Pride" and Steve Vai, "Passion and Warfare")

Portrait of Ozzy Osbourne, self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness.  This was at the guitar store two doors down.

In my 9th grade school photo, I was wearing several "pins" (or "buttons") with bands on them, like Van Halen and Def Leppard. The best thing of this photo which I will spare you how it looks (I had no makeup and braces!) is my "Ozzy Rules" button which is written in the "Diary of a Madman" font.

This was Ozzy's second album (the follow up to "Blizzard of Ozz", which has the now overplayed "Crazy Train"). Who would have thought that Ozzy would turn mainstream.  Anyhow those are two of my favorite hard rock albums from the 80's.

Lovely graffiti and peeling posters behind the guitar shop (there was a big parking lot there).

Here's the whole album....

Bert's car still plays cassettes and our stereo at home plays them as well. TC held off on getting anything here but we sure had a fun time browsing their selections.
