This was one of the places recommended by Kirk (the other one was now defunct) and since we hadn't been here in awhile...
we made the trek up to Manila Mesa where Bert and I shared a trio of plates:
Veg/herb plate for my banh hoi with beef - The noodle sheets were so fun to eat having soaked up the meat juices. I really like the combination of the pickled and fresh herbs with the savory meat and crunchy peanuts.
Bert chose the Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef) - the cuts of meat were so tender and flavorful. The portion size was just right. Service was also pretty good here. It wasn't busy or crowded at all.

July 2007 - Damn, it's been that long!
When we were last here, TC was only 6 years old. We had ordered pho and asked for a small bowl for her and the waiter said, "yes, for baby" (which amused me at the time) even though TC wasn't a baby baby, ha ha. But really, the service was so nice and kind back then and it was still nice years later. Good to know that they're still around.
