It used to have the Pierce the Veil "Misadventures" album cover last year...
Here's a throwback photo which I never posted until now. You will noticed that the building and storefront is now painted black. Last May it was white and red and served as a promo for Pierce the Veil's long awaited album release. The band had a contest where their fans could take photos of themselves near the mural and hashtag it to social media. The band would pick the best winner(s) and they would win free tickets to their concert (which was last year at the Observatory in North Park). We went there last spring after breakfast at Olympic Cafe (which is now closed and in the process of moving to the old location of Jersey Joe's Pizza) and coffee at Communal.
PTV is one of TC's favorite bands and what's cool is that they're local.
Here's what the alley looks like as of 2.25.17. This was my "drive by" photo.
After our lunch at Tribute Pizza (post is forthcoming), we walked back to take proper photos and was bummed that a damn truck was there, blocking the left end of the mural. The lady in the truck was on the phone and didn't move until after we left, which was annoying. There are ninjas on the far left and even a pokemon, Snorlax, the sleeping Pokemon with pointy ears.

The far right portion of the mural was reminiscent of Magritte but with geometric forms instead of a bowler hat.
Sun was in the way...and so was that truck! :(
Another mural nearby had a slight change. Here is the old version as of early last year. There i some sort of creature against a field of flowers holding something up (maybe a smart phone?).

In the window's reflection Bert noticed that the creature was holding Robby the Robot. I had no idea what he was talking about (and looked it up soon after),

Mural titles above are made up by me, heh heh. Who knows what else will pop up around here. It's cool exploring neighborhoods by foot because when you're in a car zooming by, it's hard to see the details.
