we headed across the Prado bridge over to Cucina Urbana.
It's been nearly five years since my last visit. It's still the same, busy, popular and noisy. We happened to snag a table on the upper level right by a window. It was less crazy and much more bearable in terms of not having to shout at each other to make ourselves heard.

There are Italian movie posters wallpapering the hallway near the bathrooms.

No more alcohol. Instead, Mr. TJ and I both got Arranciata soda (orange) while La Ley got the lavender lemonade which was served in a Mason jar.

Our lone but excellent appetizer that night, the chicken liver pate with brown sugar shallots served with a variety of breads.

OMG. this was so good but believe it or not, we barely finished it!

Previous visit to Cucina Urbana:
August 2010 when I went with Mr. TJ, La Ley, MFH (Mi Firme Heina) and another former co-worker for a belated bday dinner for Mr. TJ. Ironically I threw in a Duggar family reference. This was give years ago. Now that family is in the news for the oldest son molesting five underage girls including his own sisters. Ewwww.
It was such a fun evening with La Ley and Mr. TJ, from Brooklyn Girl to ending the night at Cucina Urbana. We hope to get together during our summer break just to unwind. It was such a rough school year this past year...

I love that green mason jar!
It's very cute but oh-so-trendy, haha.
