Return to Half Door Brewing Co.

We made our near near Petco Park..

back to the Half Door Brewing Co.

and enjoy our breakfast on the top deck...

Where we had this view...

It's never too early for a beer, or is it?  Bert's choice, the Roark Red Ale.

Instead of getting the same breakfast we had before (that was missing the rasher), we got two different items (one would be complimentary), a flat bread with eggs, a rasher (which was just cut up bacon) and caramelized onions (hmmm). and a sandwich called the Cure. They had changed their menu up a tiny bit since our last visit a few weeks ago.

The sausage sandwich came with an overeasy egg

The flat bread was kind of bland. I liked what was on it but something was missing. When I reread the menu description later, I figured out it was the caramelized onions. Another missing ingredient. Grumble. But oh well. We just won't order it again if we ever do another revisit.

The sausage sandwich with cheese and egg was pretty hearty especially since it came with a side of potatoes.

Despite my normal aversion for runny eggs, I liked this!

The servers, once again were really nice. The same guy was there as last time (the British guy but with an American accent).  Because we went really early (around 9 am), it wasn't crowded upstairs or downstairs for that matter. I'm thinking they do really well during games, especially with the night crowd.

The food is good but they need to make sure they include all of the ingredients listed in their menu description. An omission like bacon/rasher as well as the caramelized onions can make a big difference in how something tastes. I'm glad we gave them another shot though.
