Pretty soon, this will be another empty restaurant...
However, starting September 3rd, this Red Lobster (on F St., between 3rd and 4th Ave) will relocate to the corner of Broadway and H, at the site of the old Bob's Big Boy, or more recently Carrow's.

The old Carrows was torn down earlier this year. I haven't been there recently to check on its progress, as the new Red Lobster but from what I heard from the servers today, they hired 120 more workers and have to undergo a special training before work starts at the new location.

The co-workers and I chose mainly from this menu. Turns out I ordered the same thing I got the last time we were here for lunch. Old habits die hard, I guess.

The buttery aroma of the cheese biscuits filled the air as two baskets were placed in front of our starved selves. The server was kind enough to give us a second helping after we demolished the first round. I want to make the Bisquick version of these again!

I only took photos of my lunch and MFH's (she joined us that day since we had an inservice). This was my Shrimp Flatbread with Grilled Shrimp Salad. The salad greens were iceberg (ugh), the Ranch was on the side and the skrimps were on the tiny side. I guess I forgot about the first time I had it because I said the same thing.

MFH had the Wood Grilled Chicken with a dish of shrimp any style, along with rice pilaf. She chose 'Scampi' for her shrimp preparation. Funny I thought that chicken was a grilled piece of fish. It looked indistinguishable from fish to me.

I really liked the shrimp flatbread, but this was way too much food. The flatbread was scored into three squares with each cut diagonally. I saved the last three pieces of TC who happily had that as her afterschool snack later that afternoon. The shrimp, cheeses, and grilled peppers hit the spot. It was like a shrimpy and cheesy pizza.

I hope they still have this at their new location. I would get this again, but they really need to change up the lettuce they use in their salad (which probably won't happen since iceberg is cheaper to use). Now I'm curious about the new Red Lobster which will be in the same general area of the Chula Vista Mall.
Must buy some shredded cheddar cheese and chives so I can make those biscuits again!

Sometimes I want to go to Red Lobster and only eat cheddar biscuits. I think those biscuits keep them afloat!
