This walkway led to the rest of the mall, where Nordstrom's was the closest anchor store to us...
As we looked below, Bert saw one of his dream cars...
a Ferrari Testarossa!

This was the ultra mod lounge area that lined the hallway. Comfy seating, cool lamps above and places to plug in your laptop. Plus, floor to ceiling glass windows to view the street scene below.

We made sure to save some room for dessert at the in-store restaurant in Nordstrom's. It was the closest and I was curious to go here. Instead of being called the Nordstrom Cafe, it was renamed 6th & Pine, located near the (mega expensive) children's section.

We were only here for dessert. I was kind of disappointed by their somewhat boring offerings. I didn't do my research ahead of time and thought, for some reason, that they would have swankier choices.

We placed our order while I played with the cool spage-age domed metal container that held the various sugar and sweetener packets.

It was packed in here. Lots of the older blue hair crowd too. The Ladies Who Lunch, heh.

The service at Nordstrom's is always impeccable and the same applies to the service at 6th and Pine. Our waiter was super nice and watching the hustle and bustle of all the workers, you could tell it was a smooth and well-oiled machine.
Our waiter brought out a complimentary appetizer, which would have been fine if we were going to eat lunch there. It was a bit odd to nibble on pickled vegetables before dessert. I did have a tiny tiny nibble just to taste it but knowing we'd be having something sweet soon kind of killed this for us.

We ordered the Warm Chocolate Cookie Sundae. I normally don't like warm anything touching ice cream but we were craving something with chocolate. The cookie was topped with vanilla ice cream which had a fluffy mound of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate. The chocolate cookie was actually quite good. It kept it's firmness under the ice cream. The chocolate chips were most likely chocolate "disks" because they were large and thinned out. There was chocolate in every bite of the cookie. This particular cookie reminded me of the cookies that Kirbie made and gifted me one time, based on a recipe she got from the New York Times. As I recall, that was one of the best cookies I've ever had! The dessert was better than I expected because of the quality of the cookie.

Awwwww....would you take a look at this display? It's Boo the dog in stuffed animal form!

OMFG, so cute! I also read the book below, "Boo - Little Dog in the Big City". It took me five minutes or less. I wonder if I can count that in my "List of Books Read in 2012"? By the way, this was Bert holding these items!

That dog looks just like a little bear! It's a shaved Pomeranian!
Okay, enough of the cute overload.
We ended up walking around the mall briskly before heading back to the Landmark Theaters to watch the new David Cronenberg film (and it is a film, not an airhead popcorn flick), "Cosmopolis" (full review to come this weekend). For the record, I really liked the movie but you really have to pay attention since it's heavy on the dialogue which is taken directly from the book by Don de Lillo. "The Expendables 2" this ain't!
It was a great 109 minutes of seeing Rob Pattinson in a Gucci suit AND in almost every frame of film!
