South Park shopping...

After our nice lunch at Apertivo and quick stop at Eclipse, we headed over to the neighborhood of South Park to check out some of the smaller shops and perhaps get some dessert.

These Christmas decorations were here last year. I like how it looks next to the street art mural...

I meant to check out the store, The Make Good, but saw this shop first, Bad Madge.

It's right next to The Make Good and it's just as cute! Lots of quirky and vintage home decor, jewelry, clothing, and such. I was talking to one of the owners and she described themselves as "pickers" who go find unusual items everywhere to sell them in the store. I saw a really cute hand painted wooden platter from Russia. There was also a cool black and white graphic print jacket from Italy that I tried on. Too bad it didn't fit me, otherwise, I would have bought it ($26). Their used clothing prices are quite reasonable. They have so many cool vintage glassware and plates. I even saw some cool melamine cups that reminded me of the kind my parents had. I bought a few handpainted trays with birds on them (they were made in England) and left before I went too crazy!

Next door was the Make Good which sells locally made and crafted items. Really cute stuff. A lot of it is pretty pricy but I like the idea of this place.

These were felt toys. Can you guess what they were? Teeth! A cute present for your dentist perhaps?

They had a lot of really unique jewelry that I liked as well but maybe, just one day, I'll get back into making earrings again. I can do a lot of what I see if given the right beads but I haven't been motivated to get out the supplies, wires, chains and beads again. Sigh.

More of that surreal Christmas display...

and again from farther away...

Just a few steps away was Rebecca's Coffeehouse...

Lots of baked goods on their counter such as muffins, scones, cookies, and cupcakes...

Bert and I shared a banana chocolate chip muffin and Bert got a mocha coffee. I picked off most of the muffin's top (muffin top, heheh)...

TC, on the other hand, wanted ice cream from The Daily Scoop.

They sell locally made Niederfrank's ice cream here.

So cute in here! Next door to the Daily Scoop is a tiny little vintage shop called Fuchsia.

I went there while TC got her scoop...Lots of cool random things around. I got a couple of vintage white glass dot textured candlestick bases for future platestand projects. I was happy to see it was still there because I saw it last year and thought it would be gone forever. I didn't buy it back then, but I got it that day (it was $14 for the pair). Turns out that the owner, who I chatted with, would be relocating somewhere else in South Park at the end of January.

See the vintage glass with the candy cane designs? I ended up getting that for my Xmas decor. This place is so tiny and jam packed!

Meanwhile, I missed my photo opp with TC's cone - so here it is licked down a bit. The flavor was Dark Cherry which she enjoyed. One of my favorite Niederfrank flavors is the Red Mint Chip.

This was the view from the window at the ice cream place. Look, it's the Mystery Mobile from Scooby Doo! Well, not really but it reminded me of it.

We headed back to our car after our desserts and coffee...

This was the back patio of Station Tavern (great burgers and beer there!). They were closed that Monday...

Hey, it's that van again! And check out the checkered wheel cover! Spicoli dude! The guy who owns it works at Station Tavern and Bert chatted with him about beers. People here in South Park are so chill. I really like how friendly the store owners are. The guy even suggested that we could take photos by the Christmas display in the back but we were on our way out.

I want a checkered wheel cover like this! Wait, I have Vans like this. Oh yeah, and tear drop shaped earrings. The checkered pattern never gets old!

"That was my skull! I'm so wasted!"
