Dessert 'n shirts 'n stuff...

After TC's dance performance, we went home to relax. We didn't go out to dinner like we normally have done in the past since we grazed throughout the afternoon with the merienda at the Parol Festival. So, we relaxed and waited until Bert came home from helping clean up...

As a reward for her effort, we promised to take TC out for dessert and Nuyo was her choice...

This was the Eastlake location of Nuyo which I've blogged about before. What I like about this location is that it's bigger than the Telegraph location and has more flavors. And would you take a look at that Thin Mints flavor!!! That's new! Same with the Dulce de leche!

I like that they offer Taro here (which really isn't the same as ube). They have the regular flavors like chocolate, vanilla and always some sort of fruit, or tart flavor as well as sugar free (I never get those, why bother!)...

Here's my cup before I added the toppings: Chocolate, Taro, underneath the Taro was the Thin Mints, plus Red Velvet and Peanut Butter.

Here's all three of our yogurts. I always put chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips on mine (green spoon). This time, I added a few mini mochi pieces and cookie dough. I know, I'm living dangerously. Plus I drizzled chocolate syrup as well. TC got about 5 different flavors (don't remember them all but they were fruity) and topped it off with cherries, coco jel and those sour worm candies. Hey, she's 11.  I like how colorful it looks but I blanch at the thought of eating all that candy with yogurt. Bert's is at the top (PB, Red Velvet, Chocolate, Dulce de Leche, Thin Mint) topped with chocolate chips and walnuts.

Since we were in the area, we stopped by Wal-Mart to see if I could find uh, "supplies" for my ugly sweater project. But first, let's take a look at some of the funnyass Christmas merchandise...

Hilarious movie!

The passive aggressive Happy Bunny...

TC just saw the recent muppet movie with the neighbor girls and noticed this. That's Bert "modeling" the Animal PJ's. I LOVE ANIMAL but I don't think I'd wear the pj's because they are made of some wierd terry cloth material.

Okay, seriously?

And only if you really hate someone would you give them one of these...

I remember there was a nasty variation back in the mid 80's called "Barbara's Bush". Guess where it grew out...never mind!

I ended up buying some crafty items for my planned sweater. I ended up returning most of the stuff today because I bought a really hideous sweater vest yesterday for $3.99 at the Goodwill in I.B. and I'm going to use that instead and embellish it. I have about a week and a half until the ugly sweater party. Bert also bought a velour sweater with stripes. I bought TC's ugly sweater last year after Christmas in anticipation of this year's party so we will be decked out in fugliness for sure! Posts will be forthcoming...I'm still formulating how to alter some of the design elements on that sweater, heh heh.
