Yes, another boujie ice cream place!
We could have had Marianne's Ice Cream near the boardwalk, but in my quest to find places with housemade ice cream, this place popped up on my radar. I knew what we were in for but I thought my godparents would appreciate that this was an artisanal ice cream place...

Flavors that day...

Yikes. $3.50 a scoop but you know what? For the quality of the ingredients, it was worth it.

Yes, all of the uppity buzzwords are there. Local. Farmed. Organic.

My godparents shared a bowl - Blueberry Lemon Verbena. The blueberries were sourced from Triple Delight Farm and the verbena from Route 1 Farm. I'm happy to say that they really enjoyed their ice cream. My Ninang ended up calling my mom later that week to tell her all about our day. The waffle cone held TC's Chocolate sorbet which was not sourced from a farm, heh.

I had a scoop of the Strawberry Pink Peppercorn with the strawberries' pedigree hailing from Dirty Girl Farm. Ooh, I like THAT name! Very much indeed.
Bert's ice cream was the one on the far right, the Pistachio Cardamom Chocolate Chip. I could have done without the cardamom becase I'm not really fond of that spice. The ice cream scoops were on the smaller side; I wished they gave us a tiny bit more. The peppercorns also gave the ice cream a bit of a kick. Our scoops also melted a bit fast, which made me feel like I couldn't savor it as slowly as I wanted to.

This place was a little off the tourist path which was fine with me. By this time, it was already past 5 p.m. and we were all quite tired from today's events.

They wanted to head back down to Pebble Beach but before doing so, we would be stopping to have dinner at a Mexican place in Moss Landing...
