We started off the morning checking out a heritage tree that was a few blocks away from our hotel...
Ironically, this tree, deemed "Portland's Favorite Tree"was a California redwood and not one native to Oregon. It still cast an impressive sight.
After coffee and checking out of the hotel Bert also wanted us to see this particular Victorian home located next to Portland State University housing. Interesting story behind this (which will be detailed in a future post).

Lunch was TC's choice...at a vegan cafe located inside a rock gym and yoga studio. Yes. You read that right.

The vegan food was okay but Bert and I needed a little more, so we went to the NoPo quadrant (the Fifth Quadrant) for some pizza, ice cream and coffee.
One of Portland's many remaining horse rings...

While on our way to a gas station to fill up the tank (we used only half of the whole tank during our whole vacation), I snapped this exterior shot of a "familiar-only-if-you-watch-the-IFC-show-Portlandia-bookstore"...

Where's Tony and Candace?
Heading back to Cali...

TC took this shot...below is the St. John's Bridge, featured a few posts ago.
It would be nice to finally get back to "normal" SoCal Temps, like the 70's. The 40's are not that fun for me, but hey, I got to wear longsleeve thermals, a hoodie and rain jacket plus my waterproof Timberland boots for one week straight!
On to those full on Portland posts!
