As cute as these were, we got something else for a quick snack...
before enjoying drinks at a three month new coffee place, also in the same neighborhood.

Next door was a vintage store which was unfortunately going out of business.

We actually have that same radio in our garage, ha ha!
I was tempted to get these vintage Philippine wood carvings. No room in my suitcase and I didn't want to deal with shipping it home.

Back in the Hawthorne neighborhood...

We checked out some thrift stores (TC's latest obsession) and enjoyed a small snack at this establishment which has been in business since 1935.

Snack #2 was in the NE Quadrant...Hipster street Thai to give you a clue.

Since we were in the northern area, we went farther up the the St. John's neighborhood where there is a park under the namesake suspension bridge, known for it's gothic arches.

Would we ever see the sun during our vacation?
Regardless of the weather, we were still enjoying ourselves. We still a few more days here...
