A quaint seaside town reminiscent of Cape Cod. More on the building above later...
This would be a short rest stop before gearing up for where we would later spend the night...

We're not big into antiques, but we do like our chocolate and there was a shop here calling our name...
In a small side alley off one of the main streets is a building with several businesses, one being the Mendocino Chocolate Company.

They had so many sweets to choose from. I'm trying to remember what we got but this was nearly one year ago. This is what I get for posting eons later.

Our chocolates were boxed up nicely and enjoyed with coffee at the shop next door (post is forthcoming).

Blueberry, chocolate truffle, amaretto, and peanut butter filled chocolates.

One non-chocolate item was a coconut and almond candy with caramel inside. This might've been TC's choice.

My favorite was the blueberry. We finished off a few pieces and saved the rest for later, not wanting to get too sugared out.
Here's someone's recent video while driving through the main street in Mendocino (cloudy day too):
The first few seconds you can see the Masonic Hall (with the statues on top of the spire). The chocolate store is the building right after the hall. The Masonic Hall is also known as the Masonic Temple or Mendocino Lodge No. 179. The statues at the top of the cupola is called "Time and the Maiden" as well as "Father Time and the Virgin". The buildingg is quite striking; it is now a bank.
Who else went here?
Josh from CATML mentioned this place in his "San Francisco to Mendocino Guide" . Can you tell we used his posts as a guide for our NorCal trip? His posts really inspired us to
